Frequently Asked Questions

We know that choosing the right platform to present your startup is an important decision. Over the years, we’ve connected hundreds of founders with vetted investors through our global Pitch Nights and Networking Conferences. To help you better understand how we work, we’ve compiled answers to the most common questions we receive from startups and investors—covering our event format, investor network, participation benefits, and what makes The Startup Club different from other events.

What is The Startup Club?

The Startup Club is a global hub for entrepreneurs and investors. Since 2020, we’ve hosted more than 110 successful Pitch Nights and Investor Networking Conferences, helping startups and scale-ups connect with venture capital funds, family offices, angel investors, and private equity firms. With over 150,000 members worldwide, we cover industries including FoodTech, GreenTech, FinTech, Real Estate, FashionTech, Healthcare, and more.

What makes your Pitch Nights different?

Our Pitch Nights are fundraising-focused. Unlike many startup events, we do not include sponsors, service providers, keynote speakers, or competitions. Instead, we provide you with a vetted, investor-only audience, ensuring your pitch reaches those who can actually fund you.

What is included in the participation fee?

Your fee includes:

  • Pitch deck review and feedback to help you prepare

  • Exposure to a curated audience of vetted investors

  • A full investor list for follow-up after the event

  • Promotion across our website, newsletter, and social media channels

  • Access to the event recording, ensuring global investor visibility across time zones

Why do we charge a fee?

The participation fee covers the organization, investor outreach, and vetting process. We personally invite and qualify investors from our 100,000+ investor database to ensure every event has a high-quality audience. Unlike many platforms, we do not charge commissions or success fees—any funding you raise is 100% yours.

How many investors attend?

Typically, 40+ investors attend each Pitch Night, depending on the industry and focus of the event. We curate the investor audience to match the presenting startups.

What kind of investors will I meet?

We work with a broad mix of investors including:

  • Angel investors and angel groups

  • Venture capital funds (early and growth stage)

  • Private equity funds

  • Family offices and investment partnerships

Many are industry-specific (e.g., FoodTech or PropTech), while others have a broader investment mandate.

What if I don’t secure funding immediately?

While investment is never guaranteed, our Pitch Nights maximize your chances by giving you direct exposure, investor lists for follow-up, and valuable connections. Many startups build relationships during our events that lead to investment or partnerships at a later stage.

Can I see examples of past events?

Yes, absolutely.

What industries do you cover?

We regularly host Pitch Nights across industries including:

  • Food, Beverage & AgriTech

  • Real Estate & PropTech

  • GreenTech & Sustainability

  • Healthcare & MedTech

  • FinTech & Digital Innovation

  • FashionTech and more

What is the success rate of funding?

We do not track all outcomes, as we focus our resources on maintaining an active investor database. However, we know of numerous startups (e.g., B-Cube AI, Renoon, Nocto, Intimately, and Onvy) that secured funding after pitching with us, as well as many others who found mentors, strategic partners, or clients.

How can I trust this isn’t a scam?

We understand the concern. To ensure transparency, we invite you to:

  • Review our testimonies from past startups: Testimonies

  • Watch our documented past events: YouTube Channel

  • Check our active LinkedIn presence with thousands of followers

We always charge upfront because we’ve been misled in the past by “success fee” promises that were never honored.

Do you promote my startup?

Yes. Each participating startup is included in:

  • Pre-event promotions (posters, LinkedIn campaigns, newsletters)

  • A blog post and feature on our website

  • Post-event promotion of the recording

We also tag startups across our platforms to maximize visibility.
