This week, we are thrilled to introduce QuantiLight as our featured Startup of the Week! đ
Founded in 2025, QuantiLight is a visionary MedTech startup transforming the way we approach diagnostics. With a tagline that says it all "Reimagining diagnostics at the speed of life." this innovative company is addressing a critical need for faster, more accessible therapeutic drug monitoring.
QuantiLight has developed a portable blood testing platform that delivers lab-quality results in under 15 minutes, using a finger-prick blood sample and a compact, app-connected diagnostic device. Their first application targets post-transplant care, a high-need area requiring precise, ongoing drug monitoring â particularly for immunosuppressants like tacrolimus.
Behind QuantiLight is an impressive team:
Dr. Corentin Gondrand, CEO â PhD in Chemical Biology, ENS Lyon
Dr. Estelle Bondeau, CTO â PhD in Molecular Biology, University of Heidelberg
Erin Federman, CCO â global commercial leader in life sciences
The startup operates on a razor-and-blade business model, offering the device plus recurring cartridge sales. With a âŹ5M seed round currently open, they are preparing for clinical validation and regulatory submission in both the EU and US.

Tell us about your company.
QuantiLight is developing a portable blood testing platform that delivers lab-accurate results from just a drop of blood. Our system combines patented bioluminescent sensors, a handheld device, and a simple app interface. It allows patients to monitor drug levels and key biomarkers in real time, from home or at the point of care. We are starting with post-transplant drug monitoring, but the technology has much broader applications. Our aim is to make patient monitoring more accessible, patient-centered and efficient.
What made you become an entrepreneur?
My background is in chemical biology and academic research. Over time, I realized I wanted to do more than discover I wanted to build something that could help people in a practical way. Starting QuantiLight was a way to bring science out of the lab and into patientsâ hands.
What is the most challenging part of running your own startup?
Switching from a research mindset to an execution mindset. In a startup, time is always limited and priorities shift quickly.
What is the biggest challenge you have faced when looking for funding?
Our platform combines biology, hardware, and software we donât fit neatly into a single category. That means we need visionary investors who see the bigger picture.
What is the most rewarding aspect of entrepreneurship?
Turning an idea into a working system and seeing real-world impact unfold it's incredibly fulfilling.
